Job SummaryClinical Trainees provide diagnostic assessments, therapeutic and skills services to children, adults and families. They work under the license of a qualified mental health professional, engage clients in direct services and participate in clinical supervision to complete licensure requirements.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesClinical Trainees do not provide direct supervision to other employees. They collaborate and coordinate with Fernbrook team members who share clients or caseload responsibilities.

Duties And Responsibilities- Provide psychotherapy and/or skills services to children, adults, families and group modalities in a school setting at Cambridge school district.
- Meet required productivity benchmarks for client services and weekly billable expectations.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments to determine eligibility for services.
- Complete documentation in alignment with established content, quality and timeliness standards.
- Coordinate and collaborate with Fernbrook staff and external service providers.
- Seek supervisory guidance and consultation as needed.
- Complete mandatory trainings for skill maintenance or enhancement.
- Attend and engage in staff meetings in ways that support your professional needs.
- Attend and actively engage in individual and/or group CT supervision, in accordance with the clinical supervision plan.
- Complete 30 hours of continuing education related to mental health every two years and any additional hours required by licensing board.
- Uphold and communicate Fernbrook Family Center’s mission internally and externally.
- Follow all agency policies and procedures.
- Meet productivity standards in regards to client-contact and each week attend mandatory program meetings, attend CT/licensure supervision, complete all paperwork, and travel between client sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Occasional lifting of up to 15 pounds.
- Work hours are flexible, generally between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
- Regular travel to client homes, community settings, Fernbrook offices, and off-site locations where clients may be placed is required.
- Salaried employees work 40–43 hours per week; additional hours may be required to meet client and program needs.
- Hourly employees may work up to 40 hours per week; overtime must be pre-approved by a supervisor.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and an acceptable driving record are required for positions involving community-based client contact.
- Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with agency and Department of Human Services requirements.
- Possess a Master’s Degree or be a current student who is in a field placement with the agency working to qualify for one of the following license types: LICSW, LPCC, LMFT, or LP.
- Experience working with children, adults, and families.
- Bilingual.
