Wellness Specialist I - Part Time Days - The Levande

Join Vivie and help us create meaningful impact! As a wellness specialist, you will be joining an expanding wellness program, working alongside another wellness specialist to design and lead engaging wellness programs that enhance residents’ physical health, mobility, and overall well‑being, while also providing support to members with dementia to promote their cognitive and emotional well‑being.

Schedule:

Part Time – 48 Hours per Pay Period – Morning Hours, Flexible Schedule – No Weekends.

As a Wellness Specialist, you’ll inspire and support residents by leading engaging wellness programs, promoting strength, mobility, and overall well‑being. Through expert instruction, innovative fitness classes, and meaningful connections, you’ll help participants maintain independence, improve functional ability, and enhance their quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Engaging Wellness Programs – Facilitate group exercise classes designed to improve strength, balance, flexibility, and endurance. Provide safe and effective instruction on cardiovascular and weight training equipment.
  • Prepare & Innovate Wellness Classes – Plan and organize class content, introduce new exercises, and rotate class formats to keep participants engaged. Set up before class, welcome attendees, and ensure a smooth experience from start to finish.
  • Promote a Culture of Wellness – Support quarterly wellness assessments and celebrations. Seek and implement new methods to enhance wellness services, ensuring a high‑quality and evolving program.
  • Collaborate & Grow the Wellness Community – Build relationships across departments to expand wellness initiatives, increase program participation, and enhance the overall impact of Vivie’s wellness programs.
  • Other Duties as Assigned – The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and are not necessarily all inclusive.
Qualifications
  • Experience in leading group exercise, wellness programs, or fitness instruction is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safe exercise techniques, adaptive fitness, and wellness programming for older adults.
  • Ability to physically demonstrate exercises and safely assist participants.
  • Certification in group fitness, personal training, or wellness coaching is preferred.
  • Ability to pass state mandated background check.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate to residents, staff, and team members.
