The State of Minnesota’s Direct Care & Treatment (DCT) is searching for a dedicated Job Coach to support individuals with cognitive/intellectual disabilities or related conditions in securing and sustaining employment. The role involves coaching clients, liaising with local businesses, maintaining essential data, and ensuring compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities- Teach and coach program participants’ job, independent living skills, and provide ongoing job support.
- Act as a liaison between businesses and program participants, facilitating workplace and community opportunities.
- Document and summarize participants’ activities, progress, and care through standard forms and reports.
- Participate in daily operations to meet licensure, legal, and accreditation requirements and adhere to CBS/MSOCS policies and procedures.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Basic written communication and report‑writing skills.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Clear verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret charts, graphs, and written materials.
- Experience implementing training/employment programs for individuals with cognitive/intellectual disabilities, mental illness, chemical dependency, physical disability, brain injury, and/or displaced workers.
- Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
