SummaryCompetently interpret patients' history and baseline function, perform assessments, establish and carry out plans of care, including treatment, reassessment, patient/family instruction, discharge planning, documentation, and communication with medical staff. Acts as a clinical instructor and participates in department functions to help patients achieve maximum functional outcomes.
Responsibilities- Evaluate and treat patients based on provider referrals, develop and implement plans of care, perform instrumental exams and hearing screens, and maintain productivity expectations.
- Assist in discharge planning, instruct patients and families, and communicate with multidisciplinary team members.
- Supervise staff, participate in quality improvement, and assume delegated duties in management's absence.
- Orient new staff, serve as a clinical instructor, advocate for the discipline, and represent the department in meetings.
Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, Ohio licensure, and specialized knowledge in cognition, aphasia, dysphagia, and swallowing assessments.
Additional Requirements- Basic computer skills
- Home Care department: valid driver’s license, acceptable Motor Vehicle Report, proof of insurance
Day shift, as needed, in the Outpatient Rehab department.
