Full-Time Human Resources Manager in Cambridge, Ohio. Family-owned company celebrating 72 years. Seeking a detail-focused HR manager to support a positive, safety‑focused workplace.
What You’ll Do- Lead and coordinate HR processes and functions across the organization
- Oversee full‑cycle recruitment, onboarding, and new‑hire compliance
- Develop, lead, and support employee training initiatives
- Manage company safety programs, including compliance audits and safety training
- Maintain accurate, confidential HR files and safety documentation
- Administer benefits such as medical, dental, vision, HSA, life insurance, and 401(k)
- Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and return‑to‑work procedures
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FMLA, ADA, EEO, FLSA, and other regulations
- Oversee Hours of Service compliance, driver qualification files, and routine safety audits
- Lead policy development, handbook updates, and HR best practice initiatives
- Support employee relations, coach supervisors, and guide corrective action processes
- Communicate clearly and professionally at all levels
- Assist with payroll processing
- Minimum 5 years of HR management experience in manufacturing, trucking, or construction, including compliance and employee relations
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, EEO)
- Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA standards and DOT safety requirements
- Experience with safety oversight and employee training programs
- Ability to interpret and apply state and federal regulations to daily workplace situations
- Experience supporting managers with coaching, investigations, and documentation
- Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills
- Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across all levels
