Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Planner - 1st Shift (6am - 2pm) to join our team located in Cambridge, OH.
The Maintenance Planner will ensure Maintenance department efficiency through inventory management.

- Organize and maintain an inventory of parts that are used in production machinery and building maintenance.
- Create requisitions, secure approval, and process purchasing of parts needed for inventory as they are used and for special projects.
- Physically receive and put away parts into the maintenance inventory as they are delivered to the Maintenance Department.
- Communicate with vendors to ensure accurate and timely deliveries of parts ordered.
- Monitor the inventory by taking physical counts of the parts to ensure the accuracy of the stock levels.
- Generates paperwork and coordinates equipment repairs sent to vendors for service and repairs, i.e.,grader blades, pulverize disks, saw blades, motors, pumps, etc.
- Prior experience in administrative capacity.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to professionally interact with internal and external personnel.
- Strong understanding of maintenance and office processes.
