Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day‑to‑day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Supervision must comply with federal, state, and local standards and any additional requirements from the Director of Nursing Services or Nurse Supervisor to maintain highest quality care.
Delegation Of AuthorityAs an LPN, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary to carry out assigned duties in accordance with state requirements.

Education- Graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
- Participation in continuing education classes, workshops, and seminars affiliated with nursing organizations desirable.
- On‑the‑job training provided.
- Current, unencumbered, active LPN/LVN license in this state.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public.
- Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to long‑term care.
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures for quality care.
- Patient, tact, cheerful disposition, enthusiasm, willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Willingness to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into nursing practices.
- Ability to convey information concerning a resident’s condition.
- Not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
