Road Mechanic

Road Mechanic/Technician role at Sunbelt Rentals. Performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment including Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, generators, pumps, HVAC, and oil & gas equipment.

• Work on a variety of makes, models & equipment in challenging remote locations.
• Develop new skills for a career track in service or operation management.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on equipment in the safest, most effective way possible to avoid downtime.
• Work with an incredible team of people in a safety‑focused environment.

• High school diploma or GED required; some trade school or equivalent training desired.
• 3‑5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment or specialty lines equipment (generators, pumps, HVAC or oil & gas).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record (21 years of age & CDL license may be required in some locations).
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting fundamentals.
• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• English required; bilingual (Spanish or others) may be required based on location.

Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, working indoors/outdoors as required.

$22.40 - $30.80 per hour (starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience).
