We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Office Manager / Senior Administrator to step into a key role on behalf of a highly innovative and growing business based in Cambridge.
This isn’t a traditional admin position. It’s a senior, hands on opportunity where you’ll take full ownership of day-to-day office and site operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly across purchasing, finance support, logistics, facilities coordination and customer service.
What you’ll be doing
Manage purchasing and procurement, including raising purchase orders, supplier management, stock control, and delivery tracking
Source, negotiate, and liaise with suppliers to improve value, lead times, and reliability
Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and purchasing records using Sage 50
Coordinate with Finance on invoicing, payments, reconciliations, and cost control
Oversee day-to-day office operations, systems, filing, and document control
Produce works orders, SOPs, ECNs, reports, timesheets, and operational documentation
Act as first point of contact for calls, visitors, customers, and site access
Manage order processing, invoicing, logistics, deliveries, returns, and stock movements
Coordinate contractors, facilities, office supplies, health & safety documentation, and site presentation
Support onboarding, meetings, events, and wider business projects as required
What we’re looking for
Solid experience in office management, or business support
Experience with in manufacturing, engineering, or operational environments (highly desirable)
Confident working independently with minimal supervision
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Professional communicator with excellent customer service skills
IT confident, ideally with Sage 50 or similar systems
