Hours:
Monday to Friday REED Business Support are representing a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in St Ives, Cambridgeshire. They are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Administrative Assistant to support their team.
This role offers a chance to work in a friendly, supportive, and professional environment, contributing significantly to the smooth operation of our practice. Day-to-day of the role:
Prepare and submit statutory filings, particularly Companies House Confirmation Statements. Draft letters, professional correspondence, and other accounting-related documentation. Manage credit control processes, including monitoring outstanding balances and liaising with clients regarding overdue payments. Provide reception and telephone cover during periods of annual leave and absence. Support the Practice Manager with general administrative duties and office management tasks. Assist Client Managers with ad hoc administrative and client-related work.
Maintain and update client records and internal databases. Manage electronic filing and document management systems. Undertake additional administrative duties as required to support the wider team. Required Skills &
Qualifications:
Previous experience in an administrative role. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Professional and confident communication skills, both written and verbal. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to work.
(Desirable) Previous experience in an accountancy practice or other professional services environment. (Desirable) Knowledge of Companies House processes and statutory filings. (Desirable) Experience drafting professional client correspondence and documentation. (Desirable)
