Early Years Manager – Overview
Early Years Alliance invites applications for the Early Years Manager role at Longstanton Pre‑School in Cambridge. The successful candidate will inspire and lead a team to deliver outstanding early years education and care, working closely with the Childcare Operational Manager and the wider Alliance support services.

- Manage the day‑to‑day operation of the setting, ensuring all regulatory requirements, policies and procedures are adhered to
- Build relationships with parents and the wider community
- Manage the financial sustainability of the setting
- A minimum Level 3 Early Years Education and Childcare qualification or equivalent, with the ability to meet all EYFS standards
- EYFS 2024 requirement – employed or internal job changes on or after 4 January 2024 must hold a level 2 Maths qualification, or achieve one within two years of starting
- Proven post‑qualification experience in early education and childcare
- Sound IT skills and ability to use Microsoft Office, nursery management software, social media platforms and online portals effectively
- The ability to multi‑task and establish rapport with staff, families and external agencies
- Enhanced DBS check (if current certificate is not subscribed to the update service)
35 hours per week (flexible around how the hours will be worked). 39 weeks per year (term time).
