gap construction are proud to be representing a hugely respected main contractor in Cambridge in their search for an accomplished Site Manager to oversee a range of distinctive projects throughout Cambridge and the surrounding area.

The company has built a fantastic reputation for delivering sustainable and exceptionally high-quality projects across East Anglia for over 100 years. They take great pride in their commitment to employee development and regularly encourage both professional and personal growth.

You will oversee a diverse portfolio of challenging and engaging projects, typically ranging in value from £1 million to £15 million

Performance Objectives

Taking full responsibility for the day-to-day management and delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to the required standards.
Upholding all health, safety and environmental requirements across the site.
Ensuring all works are delivered to the highest standard of quality and contribute to an exceptional overall site presentation.
Effectively controlling all site-based activities with strong knowledge of development requirements, company procedures and compliance.
Managing the ordering, delivery, and use of equipment and materials, including coordinating site personnel and subcontractors.
Working closely with the project management team to ensure smooth project delivery across all stages of the build.

Person Specification

Proven experience managing high-quality construction projects, ideally within commercial, education and healthcare sectors.
Strong leadership and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
A commitment to quality, professionalism, and safe working practices.
Punctual, organised, and proactive in solving on-site challenges.
SMSTS qualification (SSSTS candidates with strong experience may also be considered).Apply
