Partner / Associate Building Surveyor Full Time - Cambridge Opportunity
Are you an ambitious MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor operating at Associate or Partner level? Are you looking for the next step in your career within a respected consultancy environment? This opportunity offers the chance to take a senior role within an established Building Surveying team based in Cambridge, working across a diverse and high‑quality portfolio of clients and projects.
You’ll be involved in a broad range of instructions spanning education, commercial, science, research and wider development sectors. Your work will include delivering best‑in‑class building surveying services such as:
- Dilapidations
- Party Wall matters
- Technical Due Diligence
- Contract Administration (construction & fit‑out)
- Building Pathology
- Condition Surveys
- Measured Surveys
- Reinstatement Cost Assessments
- Construction Monitoring
- Principal Designer duties
- Deliver a wide range of technical instructions with confidence and accuracy.
- Provide strategic advice and maintain strong, long‑term client relationships.
- Build and manage your own client portfolio, developing repeat business and new opportunities.
- Spot potential service needs and introduce new offerings to existing clients.
- Identify market trends and emerging opportunities, sharing insights with clients and professional contacts.
- Support wider business development activities, including targeting prospects and contributing to bids and pitches.
- Maintain up‑to‑date technical knowledge and share expertise across the team.
- MRICS qualified with a relevant Building Surveying degree or equivalent.
- Significant experience in commercial and/or industrial building surveying, ideally within private practice or a consultancy setting.
- Confident generating new business; an existing pipeline or network is a strong advantage.
- Experience leading a team or a clear desire and ability to step into leadership.
- Proactive, diligent, motivated and collaborative in your approach.
- Strong communication and client‑facing skills.
- Well‑organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
