There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK's largest house builders. Our Eastern Counties Division located in Cambridge is looking to recruit a Planning Manager to join the Division's Land department.

The Role

As Planning Manager, you will report directly to the Land Director, with responsibility for advising land teams on all aspects of planning policy and development control effecting land acquisition. Working closely with the wider technical and land teams, you will support a mix of planning delivery, risk profiling, and assisting with the progression of the strategic land for the division.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway's Eastern Counties Division at a critical time of growth, playing a key role in supporting both strategic land activity and wider divisional priorities.

Experience, Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience of working as a Planner or Planning Manager
  • Experience of addressing the general public as well as council officers and committee members in a public forum
Qualifications And Training
  • Planning or Surveying Degree or above or equivalent is desirable
  • RICS or RTPI
Skills And Aptitude
  • Effective communication and listening skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Works collaboratively with a diverse range of people
  • Good administration skills
  • Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient IT skills
  • Committed to diversity and inclusion

  • Ability to travel to potential land opportunities and external meetings on a regular basis.
