Simply Education is recruiting a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to work in a Secondary school in Cambridge. This role is ideal for individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain further classroom experience within secondary education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

Supervising classes during teacher absences
Delivering pre-set lesson plans and instructions
Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Ensuring students remain on task and engaged with their work
Providing feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes
Supporting the school's wider pastoral and academic aims Qualifications & Experience Required

Previous experience working with young people (school-based experience preferred)
Experience in a secondary school environment is highly desirable
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and confidently manage a classroom
A flexible, professional, and proactive approach

Safeguarding & Compliance

An Enhanced DBS check (registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply) is essential
