SEND Teaching Assistant - BSL Trained

We are working with a highly respected further education college in Cambridge seeking a skilled and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant with British Sign Language (BSL) training to join their inclusive learning support team.
This is a full-time, term-time position upon completion of a probation period working via Time Plan Education (37 hours per week) .
The RoleAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide specialist communication and learning support to Deaf and hard-of-hearing students, ensuring they can fully access their chosen programmes of study. You will work closely with teaching staff and wider support teams across a range of vocational subject areas.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering BSL support within classroom and practical learning environments
Supporting learners to build independence, confidence and self-advocacy skills
Assisting students in accessing lesson content and completing coursework
Adapting support approaches to meet individual learning needs
Promoting an inclusive and positive educational experience
A minimum of Level 3 BSL qualification (Signature, CACDP, SEG or equivalent)
A recognised CSW qualification (desirable)
GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or equivalent)
Experience supporting Deaf learners and/or students with SEND
A patient, adaptable and proactive approach
