Communication Support Worker

Salary: £22,000.00- £23,500.00 (Term time only salary)

Employment Type: Full time, term time only (37 weeks per year)

Are you an experienced Communication Support Worker, or fluent in British Sign Language and passionate about supporting learners?

A renowned educational establishment is currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Communication Support Worker, providing signed academic and social support to deaf learners, both in and out of the classroom, promoting independence and an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the learning support team, providing constructive and structured supported to deaf and hard of hearing learners.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to facilitate their academic development.
  • Contribute towards EHCP's where possible, suggesting adjustments where neccesary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve the curriculum, incorporating the latest industry trends and advancements.

Requirements:

  • A level 3 qualification in BSL, or fluent in sign language.
  • Experience supporting Deaf or SEND learners.
  • Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education.
