Graduate SEND TA | Cambridge | September 2026
Are you an emotionally intelligent graduate with a passion for supporting young people with additional needs? A welcoming and reputable secondary school in Cambridge is seeking a Graduate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their Additionally Resourced Provision (ARP) from September 2026. This rewarding Graduate SEND TA role is ideal for someone interested in autism, neurodevelopment, and inclusive education, offering the opportunity to make a genuine impact within a supportive school environment.
Responsibilities- Support students with SEND within the school’s ARP and mainstream setting
- Work closely with pupils with autism and additional learning needs
- Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support
- Help students develop confidence, communication, and independence
- Collaborate with experienced SEND professionals and teaching staff
- Assist across subjects including Maths, Art, Photography, Psychology and Science
- Work closely with teachers, SEND staff, and pastoral teams to support student wellbeing and confidence
- Build positive relationships that help students thrive socially, emotionally and academically
- Invaluable hands‑on experience for aspiring Educational Psychologists
- Invaluable hands‑on experience for aspiring Teachers
- Invaluable hands‑on experience for aspiring Speech and Language Therapists
- Invaluable hands‑on experience for aspiring Occupational Therapists
- Invaluable hands‑on experience for aspiring SEND and inclusion professionals
- Psychology graduates with strong Maths, Science or Art knowledge
- Maths, Science or Art graduates with an interest in neurodevelopment and SEND
- Graduates with strong A-Level results in Maths, Science, Art, Photography or Psychology, including an A or A
* in at least one of these subjects - Individuals with a genuine interest in autism, neurodiversity and inclusive education
- Emotionally intelligent, patient, and resilient
- Calm, adaptable and nurturing
- Passionate about supporting young people with autism in a mainstream environment
