SEND 2:1 KS1/KS2 Tutor urgently needed – Cambridge, CB1

Ackerman Pierce Education works closely with local authorities to provide 1:1 and 2:1 tutoring for children awaiting school placements. We are looking to support a learner with SEMH, so we seek a SEMH Tutor / Teacher to deliver 15 hours per week of academic and therapeutic activities during term time only in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be supported by another tutor on a 2:1 basis.

• Deliver 15 hours per week of academic and therapeutic activities.
• Work face‑to‑face within the community during school hours.
• Collaborate with the supporting tutor and remain engaged until the student is placed in a suitable school.

• Background teaching and supporting SEMH learners.
• Experience working with SEND, including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD.
• Experience delivering highly differentiated National Curriculum core subjects.
• Exceptional behaviour‑management strategies.
• Availability for 15 hours per week, with additional hours available.

• Regular work with a high volume of weekly referrals.
• Allocated Education Delivery Coordinator for ongoing support.
• Support throughout each child's journey, including accompaniment to the first session.
• Paid for all hours (8:30‑3:30 Monday‑Friday) and term time only, even if the child is absent due to sickness.
• Full DBS paid by Ackerman Pierce Education.
• Budget per learner for resources and compliance service.
• Personal consultant available 16 hours a day and support with training and curriculum delivery.
