Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging, one-to-one tuition tailored to each student’s individual learning style.
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans in collaboration with parents, carers and other professionals.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Provide emotional and pastoral support, creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and adapting lessons where required.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, parents, carers and external professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s education.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your knowledge and practice.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education), QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or significant experience in a similar tutoring or teaching role.
  • Proven experience supporting students with SEN and SEMH
    , including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
  • Knowledge and experience of using PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic and flexible approach.
  • The ability to work independently and adapt to the individual needs of each student.
  • A genuine passion for helping children and young people reach their full potential.
