SEN Teaching Assistant

Salary: £22,996 - £25,068 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
Welcome Bonus: £1,000
* Contract:

Permanent, Full-Time, Term Time Only

Hours:

40 hours per week | Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

About the Role

Simply Education are working with a specialist education setting in the Meldreth Manor area, supporting children and young people aged 6-19 with a range of complex additional needs, including MLD, SLD, autism, ADHD, complex medical needs and sensory/physical impairments.

We are looking for a caring and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide high-quality support both in the classroom and across the wider community, helping students develop their confidence, independence and life skills.

Key Responsibilities

Support students with their learning, development and progress across a range of environments.
Provide individualised support for young people with complex SEN, autism, PMLD and medical needs.
Help students work towards their educational, personal and independence goals.
Support positive behaviour, communication and emotional wellbeing.
Promote equality, inclusion, dignity and respect.
Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and life skills.
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and the wider team.
Support learning within the classroom, local community and outdoor environments.
The role may include personal care and physical intervention where required.

Proactive, creative and able to find solutions to barriers to learning.
Confident working as part of a team and independently when required.
Strong communicators, particularly when supporting students with communication difficulties.
Willing to undertake training and work towards relevant qualifications, with training and development fully supported.
Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
