The Role We are seeking a self-motivated and practical Construction Technician to support operations within our busy construction workshops. Working alongside the teaching team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring practical classes run smoothly, safely, and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, set up, and dismantle tools, equipment, and materials for practical teaching sessions and demonstrations.

Maintain, service, and repair workshop machinery and equipment to a high standard.

Assist lecturing staff during practical student workshops and assessments.

Oversee and maintain rigorous Health & Safety standards within all training areas.

Manage workshop inventory and ensure resources are ready when needed.

Requirements

Hold relevant qualifications in a recognized construction trade.

Demonstrable practical skills and extensive knowledge of construction tools, equipment, and materials.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.

Prior experience within a further education or training environment is desirable, but full training will be provided.
