Senior Library Assistant; Academic part-time

Position: Senior Library Assistant (Academic Support) (part-time)
The College Library ensures that Homerton students develop a high standard of information literacy and have access to the resources they require, in a welcoming academic environment. ? We are recruiting a part-time Senior Library Assistant (30 hours/week), to work within a small team, with proven academic success and some experience teaching or delivering training, to provide academic skills support.

You will be user-facing, based at the reference desk and responsible for answering all academic skills-related queries, both in person and via email, proactively and on demand. You will assist with the implementation of the Library's academic strategy, which includes designing accessible training materials in various formats; delivering academic skills training group sessions; providing tailored one-to-one support in person and online;

selecting supplementary library materials to support students' academic success and promoting library facilities, services and resources in person, on the website and Instagram. Holding (or in the process of obtaining), a professional library qualification, eg CILIP Certification or equivalent, you will have strong communication skills with the confidence to work with a variety of users. You will have experience of Microsoft Office and social media.
