Job Description & How to Apply Below

Are you passionate about inclusion and ensuring every child can thrive? We are seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and forward-thinking SENCO to join our friendly and ambitious primary school. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop SEND provision at a pivotal time in our school's journey. The successful applicant will be part of the school's leadership team. In September 2026 we launched a new Inclusion Hub designed to provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs.

As this is our first year of operation, the successful candidate will play a key strategic role in shaping, developing and embedding the Hub's vision, systems and impact across the school. We are a small primary school with a strong commitment to inclusion, nurture and high expectations for all learners. The successful applicant will work closely with school leaders, staff, families and outside agencies to ensure that pupils with SEND receive the highest quality provision and achieve positive outcomes.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a passion for inclusion and improving outcomes for pupils with SEND.
  • Has, or is willing to obtain, the National Award for SEN Coordination.
  • Can lead strategically whilst also providing practical support to staff and pupils.
  • Has excellent communication and partnership-working skills.
  • Is excited by the opportunity to develop and shape a new Inclusion Hub.
What the school offers its staff
  • A caring and supportive school community.
  • Enthusiastic and dedicated staff.
  • A committed leadership team and governing body.
  • The opportunity to shape and develop an innovative Inclusion Hub.
  • Flexible working arrangements where possible.
  • Professional development and support for ongoing career progression.
