Field Service Engineer

• Carry out planned activities involving installation of equipment, investigation and resolution of customer technical issues, and prevention of future operational or service difficulties.
• Provide advice on the use and care of instruments to customers, maintaining a high level of technical and customer‑management skill.
• Participate in the organization of preventive maintenance visits.
• Maintain ongoing communication with other company staff and ensure adequate liaison with and support for the sales team.
• Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with other field‑service staff and the sales force to ensure customer needs are understood and met.
• Seek opportunities to expand after‑sales support business.

• A technical, college or university graduate in mechanical, electrical or scientific field.
• Demonstrated aptitude for rapid, parallel and repeatable execution of defined maintenance tasks to an aggressive timetable.
• Driven to eliminate waste and implement continual small improvements in areas under local control.
• Resilient in meeting customer demands while recognizing when concessions are required.

• Valid passport with ability to travel visa‑free in Europe and the USA as required.
• Travel including overnight stays away from your home base when necessary.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to lift and manoeuvre items or equipment within EHS guidelines.

• Exposure to the research and pharmaceutical industry.
• Previous customer‑facing role.
