We are looking to recruit a Transport Planner or Assistant Transport Planner to join our Transport & Mobility Planning team in Cambridge.

Overview

At WSP, you will work on landmark transport projects that combine technical excellence with a commitment to innovation and sustainability. You will work across modes to develop transport strategies, policies, business cases and programmes from inception through to completion, supporting a diverse portfolio of public and private sector clients.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to a variety of projects and proposals (both technical and commercial inputs) and deliver high-quality outputs in line with client requirements.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborating with other WSP service lines to deliver large projects from concept to delivery.
  • Play a supporting role in securing and delivering work for our diverse local client portfolio.
  • Contribute to the financial performance of your projects and the commercial performance of our team.
  • Make an active contribution to WSP's four key pillars (People; Clients & Growth; Operations; and Expertise).
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in transport and mobility planning and design, and transport data analysis.
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to clients and colleagues.
  • Experience of working with Local Authority and Combined Authority clients.
  • Experience of software packages such as TRICS, Junction 10 and LinSIG.
  • Understanding of project management skills developed across a range of transport and multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Creative, innovative mind-set, lateral thinker.
