Our award winning client is looking for a professional with the following experience:
- Provide technician support to production & when required, engineering team.
- Test and configure electronic systems.
- Repair and maintain electronic systems as part of production processes
- Maintain documentation and change control in accordance with processes
- Assembly and testing of prototype systems and sub-assemblies
- Provide technical support to CEM's and attend regular meetings with them
- Design and/or build prototype test jigs and assemblies
- Inspection/testing of goods to IPC standards
- Support to field trials and demonstrations (usually local, sometimes national, rarely international)
- Provide occasional off-site support at customer and supplier premises
Desirable Skills
- Diagnostic fault diagnosis down to component level
- Carry out investigations to complete NCR's
- Low-level software scripting skill
- Knowledge of RF systems
The job holder reports to Senior Test Engineer (Line Manager) and works closely with the rest of the Production, Engineering, and Support Teams
Key Accountabilities - things a job holder is responsible for
- Managing the workload within the cell and prioritising work set by line manager
- Assessing allocated jobs and agreeing timescales with line manager
- Undertaking allocated tasks to agreed timescales
- Reporting on outcomes to line manager
- Comply with quality standards and processes and proactively seek continuous improvement to support the objectives of the company
- Keeping work area organised and tidy
- Ensuring the lab facilities (tools, equipment, space) are available, functional and calibrated, paying attention to ESD procedures
Qualifications
HNC or higher in electronics or electrical engineering
