This Senior Engineer role comes with a competitive salary of £55,000 (dependent on experience), a strong benefits package and the chance to work on major projects ranging from £10m to £100m+. About the Company
My client is a well-established, multi-disciplinary main contractor delivering construction projects nationwide across industrial, civil engineering, retail, student accommodation, PRS, office and industrial fit-out sectors.
With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are continuing to grow and are seeking a capable Senior Engineer to join their team on a site in Cambridge.

What You Will Be Doing
As Senior Engineer, you will be site-based and reporting directly to the Project Manager. You will be responsible for all engineering aspects on a busy project.

You will be:

Managing sub-contractors and overseeing engineering works on site
Leading initial setting out and establishing ground models to fix levels
Liaising with the Tender Handover team to ensure smooth project mobilisation
Monitoring the engineering team to ensure quality standards are achieved
Mentoring and developing junior Engineers
Taking off quantities, pricing materials and ordering to site
Inputting into short-term planning and site safety processes
Managing material reconciliations for bulk orders
Contributing to value engineering exercises to identify cost efficiencies
Implementing new technology to improve site processes
Representing engineering at site meetings and supporting collaborative delivery
This Senior Engineer position gives you the platform to influence both technical delivery and team development.

What You Will Bring
To be successful in this Senior Engineer role, you will have:
ONC/HNC, BEng, NVQ or equivalent industry experience
Strong all-round construction process knowledge
Good working knowledge of AutoCAD
Demonstrable site engineering experience on medium to large-scale projects
Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
The ability to take pride in your work and maintain high standards
Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills
You will be ambitious, proactive and confident in leading engineering activities on site.
