Senior Civil CAD Technician - Cambridge

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil CAD Technician to join our client's growing Cambridge office, supporting the delivery of high-profile projects across the defence, secure infrastructure, and aviation sectors.

You will be responsible for providing professional civil engineering support across a range of projects, from initial concept through to completion. The position requires strong technical capability, coordination skills, and experience working within structured, process-driven environments.

The successful candidate will be confident in producing high-quality technical packages, coordinating with design teams, and delivering practical, cost-effective engineering solutions that meet client expectations.

• Support the commercial and technical delivery of civil engineering projects
• Coordinate effectively with multi-disciplinary design teams
• Produce practical and innovative civil engineering design solutions
• Interpret client requirements in a commercially aware and efficient manner
• Deliver work to a high standard, within agreed timescales and budgets
• Maintain strong professional relationships with clients and colleagues
• Contribute to the promotion and growth of the Practice's civil engineering services
• Ensure projects are completed professionally to achieve high levels of client satisfaction
• Support the achievement of project and business financial targets

• Proven experience across a broad range of civil engineering activities
• Strong understanding of working within both public and private sector environments
• Sound knowledge of building construction, Building Regulations, and relevant legislation
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Civils 3D, including surface modelling and piped network design
• Experience coordinating and supporting multi-disciplinary project delivery
• Technician Member of ICE, or currently working towards membership

Due to the nature of the projects involved, candidates must either hold active UK SC Clearance or be eligible to obtain SC Clearance.
