Mechanical Engineer – Programme Manager – Medical Devices – Cambridge

Due to a growth in company output, there is a need for a new Programme Manager who has a Mechanical Engineering pedigree. Based in Cambridge, you will be leading several projects that involve both mentorship to junior staff and hands‑on mechanical design work.

• Lead multiple projects in the medical devices sector.
• Provide support and mentorship to junior team members.
• Develop and implement mechanical design solutions for electro‑mechanical medical devices.
• Communicate progress, updates, and changes with internal and external stakeholders, both virtually and in person.

• Current or recent experience developing new medical device technologies.
• Strong background in electro‑mechanical medical devices such as implantable devices, wearable technology, or other medical technologies compliant with EN60601 standards.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 regulatory requirements.
• Relevant engineering degree (master's or PhD beneficial but not essential).
• Proven ability to mentor and lead technical team members.
