Site Engineer

Location: Cambridgeshire

We are recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer to join a respected UK Groundworks, RC Frame & civil engineering contractor, working on an project in Cambridge.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Setting Out Engineer who is passionate about delivering projects to the highest standard while advancing their career.

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out for groundworks, drainage, foundations, RC frames and associated infrastructure.
Establishing and maintaining site control points and survey data.
Producing and maintaining accurate as-built surveys and records.
Interpreting and checking engineering drawings and specifications.
Carrying out QA/QC inspections and completing quality documentation.
Raising and managing RFIs where required.
Monitoring tolerances and ensuring works are delivered to specification.
Liaising with subcontractors, site managers and design teams.
Assisting with site planning and engineering problem solving.
Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety on site.

Criteria:

Previous experience working as a Setting Out Engineer for a Groundworks, RC Frame or Civil Engineering contractor.
Strong knowledge of foundations, drainage, external works and reinforced concrete structures.
Competent using Leica or Trimble surveying equipment and GPS.
Experience using AutoCAD and interpreting technical drawings.
Strong understanding of QA procedures, as-built surveys and site documentation.
CSCS Card (Essential).
SMSTS or SSSTS (Desirable).
Full UK Driving Licence.

Pay: £(Apply online only) per day (depending upon experience)
Duration: 1 year

Hours:

10 hour shifts (Monday - Friday)
