Key Responsibilities Design high-quality analogue and digital circuits for client projects at all stages within the product development lifecycle, from concept feasibility through to manufacture. Contribute to the electronics hardware development within multidisciplinary projects; understand how electronic requirements are derived from the system architecture, in collaboration with software, mechanical and manufacturing engineers. Interact with our clients to plan projects, identify and formalise design requirements, implement, test, and ultimately hand over finished designs.
Drive integration, issue resolution and verification activities at hardware and subsystem level. A day in the life You will be based at our Sagentia Innovation offices in Harston, Cambridge with opportunities for short travel to client sites in Europe or USA. You will enjoy a fast-paced environment, working within a team who solve a variety of challenges from different industries, and you will be expected to stretch yourself and demonstrate ambition, determination and focus.
We have dozens of projects in the medical, industrial, consumer, and food and beverage sectors, working with many of the worlds leading and best-known brands. As an Electronics Engineer, you will have the opportunity to use and improve your electronics engineering competencies and develop leadership skills on projects across these sectors. Projects can range in length from a few months to several years and typically will use a talented and collaborative team to provide best practice product development expertise in electronics, mechanical and software design.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise A proven track record of the full product development lifecycle for electronics design. A hands-on passion for designing both analogue and digital circuits. Passionate about learning new electronic technologies. Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with excellent communication skills. First or 2:1 degree, or postgraduate qualification in electronics, engineering, or a related subject. Additional knowledge and skills beneficial to this role FPGA hardware design experience including VHDL / Verilog programming.
Simulation of designs using Spice and/or RF simulators. Experience in motion control (actuators and sensors) systems would be advantageous. RF design, test and compliance to 6GHz would be advantageous. Embedded C/C++ software design experience. Benefits You will be offered a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package
