Associate Transport Planner
Location:
Cambridge
Our client is looking for an experienced Principal or Associate Transport Planner to join their established Cambridge team and play a key role in the continued growth of the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious transport professional to take a leading role across a diverse portfolio of development and infrastructure projects, while providing guidance and mentorship to a talented team of transport planners.
The Role
Reporting to the Transport Director, you will take a leading role in the delivery of projects from initial concept through to completion. You will be responsible for managing project delivery, developing strong client relationships and supporting the development of junior and mid-level colleagues.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will contribute to a wide range of transport planning activities, including:
Transport assessments and transport strategies
Travel plans and sustainable transport solutions
Transport modelling and analysis
Development and infrastructure planning
Environmental and multidisciplinary project work
Client liaison and stakeholder engagement
Project management and delivery
Mentoring and supporting junior team members
About You
We are looking for an experienced transport planner with a strong technical background and the confidence to take responsibility for projects and client relationships.
You will ideally have:
Strong experience in transport planning, preferably within the land development and planning sectors.
Proven experience managing projects and delivering high-quality technical work
The ability to lead and support other transport professionals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive, commercially aware and collaborative approach
An interest in innovation, sustainable development and the future of low-carbon transport
A degree or equivalent qualification in transport planning, civil engineering, geography or a related discipline
