Temporary Accounts Assistant

We are supporting the search for a Temporary Accounts Assistant to join an established Finance team, based in Central Cambridge. This role would suit someone with purchase ledger experience who takes pride in accuracy, enjoys improving processes and is keen to develop their skills within a broader finance function.
This is an immediate requirement expected to last until the end of the year.

Key Responsibilities:

* Process supplier invoices, credit card transactions, internal expenses and recharged expenses accurately and efficiently.
 
* Maintain bookkeeping records across multiple group companies, ensuring financial information is recorded correctly.
 
* Investigate and resolve supplier queries while providing guidance to colleagues on expense-related matters.
 
* Identify opportunities to improve financial and administrative processes, systems and procedures.
 
* Support other areas of the Finance function, including sales ledger and reporting, as required.

The Ideal Candidate :
 
* Previous experience in a finance or finance-related role, including hands-on purchase ledger experience.
 
* Strong numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
 
* Confident communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
 
* Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads, manage competing deadlines and work independently.
 
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
