Drama Therapist​/Art Therapist

Overview

The Arts Therapies Service takes referrals for patients where a clear clinical need is identified across all localities within CPFT. Referrals are taken from Children’s, Adults and Older Peoples Directorates both in Acute and Community settings. The Arts Therapies Service delivers groups and individual sessions on Wards for inpatients and provides sessions for community patients within the Arts Therapies department main base and, where relevant, in Community bases for patients in the community.

The postholder will provide specialist Drama/Art Therapy assessment and intervention, both individual and group, and will review the effectiveness of interventions using outcome measures as required by the Arts Therapies Professional Lead.

• To work collaboratively with people, their carers and families, and multidisciplinary teams and to plan Drama/Art Therapy interventions.
• To manage a specialist case load, providing assessment, diagnoses, treatment and monitoring of individuals identified needs across the Arts Therapies Service.
• To participate in multi‑disciplinary / multi‑agency working within the Arts Therapies and with key partners.
