Recruitment Consultant - Scientific Temps

Location: Reed Cambridge - Scientific Temps, Unit 7, CC7, 8 Clifton Court, Clifton Road, Cambridge CB1 7BN
Hybrid Working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home (after induction)Salary: £26,000-£35,000 per annum (DOE) + uncapped bonusHours: 37.5 per week, Monday-FridayContract: Permanent

About the Role

Are you driven by people, motivated by results, and excited about contributing to the scientific sector? As a Recruitment Consultant at Reed Cambridge, you'll be responsible for connecting skilled scientific professionals with temporary and contract opportunities across the UK.

In this role, you'll manage the full recruitment cycle: sourcing and engaging candidates, building relationships with clients, understanding their hiring needs, and matching them with the right talent. You'll spend your time developing your own portfolio of clients, conducting outreach, managing vacancies, interviewing candidates, and ensuring a smooth process from initial brief to placement.

This is a brand-new role created due to rapid growth in the scientific temps market, giving you a rare opportunity to build your desk from the ground up-while benefiting from the support of an established, high-performing team, strong existing client relationships, and high market demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development & Client Growth - Drive new business through proactive sales activity, outreach, and networking, while strengthening relationships with existing clients.
  • Candidate Attraction & Selection - Write compelling job adverts, source and headhunt talent, and use social media and networking to build strong candidate pipelines.
  • Assessment & Matching - Screen, interview, and evaluate candidates to ensure an excellent fit for client needs.
