This is a hands-on IT Support and Audio Visual role within the heart of Cambridge for one of our longstanding clients. You’ll play a key role in ensuring employees have a seamless technology experience, supporting everything from everyday IT issues to the delivery and maintenance of high-quality AV solutions across the business.
You’ll be highly visible across the organisation, supporting a mixed user base and working closely with the Infrastructure Engineers and Head of IT. This is a varied role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, ownership, and being the person people rely on to keep technology working effectively.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Providing 1st and 2nd Line IT support to colleagues, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues
* Supporting and maintaining meeting room and collaboration technologies, ensuring a reliable user experience for video conferencing and hybrid working
* Troubleshooting AV equipment including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, room systems, and conferencing platforms
* Preparing devices, user accounts, and core systems for new starters
* Working with technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or similar collaboration platforms
* Maintaining and improving office technology, including AV setups, shared resources, and user-facing systems
* Supporting security processes, access management, and responding appropriately to potential issues
* Working alongside the IT Manager and external suppliers to improve IT and AV services
* Supporting technology refresh cycles, upgrades, and wider infrastructure improvement projects
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience in an IT Support or Desktop Support role
* Strong hands-on experience supporting AV technologies within a business environment
* Experience troubleshooting meeting room technologies and video conferencing solutions
* Good understanding of Windows environments
* Comfortable supporting both technical and non-technical users
* Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues independently
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly
