Location:
Cambridge, UK - hybrid working 3 days onsite Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (depending on experience)
I’m currently working with a fast-growing AI-driven technology company that is looking to expand their internal IT team. They’re looking for a hands-on Senior IT Infrastructure & Network Engineer to manage and scale their corporate IT systems, networks, and hybrid cloud environments.
This is a technical, fast-paced role where you’ll get exposure to multiple areas of corporate IT infrastructure:
- Maintaining and enhancing Linux and Windows server environments.
- Managing a predominantly Mac-based device estate with secure endpoint policies.
- Administering identity systems (Entra / SSO) and hybrid cloud services (Azure, M365, AWS).
- Designing, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise networks, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Implementing high-availability, backup, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Collaborating with Security and IT teams to ensure compliance and secure configurations.
- Driving operational efficiency through automation and documentation.
- 5+ years' experience in IT infrastructure and network engineering.
- Hands-on experience with Linux servers (Windows exposure desirable).
- Experience managing Mac-heavy corporate device environments.
- Strong Microsoft ecosystem knowledge (M365 / Entra ).
- Enterprise networking and firewall management experience.
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure / M365 / AWS).
- Troubleshooting mindset with a proactive, operational focus.
- Azure and M365 security configuration experience.
- Scripting experience (Power Shell, Bash, Python).
- Familiarity with compliance-driven environments (ISO 27001, SOC
2). - Backup and disaster recovery expertise.
