Clinical Negligence Solicitor/Legal Executive (NQ) | Cambridge Some legal careers are built around billing targets. Others are built around making a difference. This is an opportunity for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a highly regarded healthcare team in Cambridge , acting on behalf of NHS Resolution, NHS Trusts, health and social care insurers and independent healthcare providers.
The work is complex, often high-profile and plays a vital role in supporting healthcare organisations through some of their most significant challenges. The successful candidate will become part of a market-leading defendant clinical negligence team, consistently recognised by both Chambers and Legal 500 for its expertise in healthcare litigation. Working alongside respected specialists in the field, they will gain exposure to challenging medical malpractice claims, inquests and healthcare-related disputes, developing their skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Based in the heart of Cambridge, this role offers the opportunity to build a specialist career within one of the most respected areas of healthcare law while benefiting from a collaborative culture and genuine long-term career prospects. No two days are the same. One matter may involve advising on a multi-million-pound clinical negligence claim, while another could see the successful candidate preparing a client for an inquest or navigating complex insurance and coverage issues.

The Role You will:
Handle a varied caseload of defendant clinical negligence and medical malpractice matters Assist on complex and high-value healthcare litigation Advise healthcare clients and insurers on liability, strategy and risk management Support clients throughout inquests and other healthcare-related proceedings Develop relationships with NHS and insurance clients Attend client meetings, networking opportunities and business development events Work closely with experienced healthcare litigators on market-leading cases About You Applications are welcomed from: NQ Solicitors or CILEX qualified lawyers Candidates with experience in clinical negligence, medical malpractice or healthcare-related litigation Lawyers with an understanding of insurance and coverage issues Individuals who enjoy building strong client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives Candidates looking to build a long-term career within healthcare and clinical negligence law Why Consider This Opportunity?
