We’s looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading UK Facilities Management provider, supporting a prestigious Pharmaceutical contract in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly regulated, critical environment where reliability, compliance, and operational excellence are essential to site performance.

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical and building services systems
• Maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, pumps, pipework, pressurised systems, and associated mechanical plant
• Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective root cause analysis to minimise downtime
• Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical mechanical infrastructure
• Completing maintenance records, compliance documentation, and reports accurately
• Working in line with GMP standards, health & safety regulations, and site procedures
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and energy efficiency
• Working closely with clients, stakeholders, subcontractors, and the wider engineering team to maintain service excellence
• Supporting contractual KPIs and service delivery standards
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, professionalism, and customer service at all times

• Mechanical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, or equivalent)
• Experience with in Facilities Management, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or other regulated environments
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, pipework, pressurised systems, and mechanical building services
• Proven experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Strong understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance requirements
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, critical environment
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive and customer-focused approach to service delivery

• Experience working within GMP-controlled environments
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance requirements
• Experience using CAFM systems
• IOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification
• Experience supporting energy efficiency and continuous improvement projects
• Experience working on critical infrastructure and business-critical systems

• £50,000 salary
