An Electrical Maintenance Engineer is required for a specialist commercial facility in Cambridge, offering a salary of £45,000+ per annum, Monday to Friday days and an excellent benefits package.
The role would suit an electrically biased, multi-skilled Building Services Engineer who can take responsibility for the day-to-day maintenance of a six-storey office building with critical building infrastructure. You will be the sole engineer on site, so a good all-round knowledge of commercial building services, a proactive approach and the ability to work independently are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the building.
- Maintain and fault-find on low-voltage electrical systems, UPS systems and generators.
- Complete emergency lighting, fire alarm and refuge system checks.
- Carry out BMS checks and monitor building systems.
- Maintain fan coil units (FCUs) and systems serving chilled and hot water.
- Undertake plumbing and general building services maintenance.
- Complete legionella-related tasks and tap temperature checks in line with site procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Liaise with contractors where required and help maintain safe, reliable building operations.
- Relevant electrical qualifications, including 18th Edition.
- Experience in commercial building services maintenance.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and testing skills.
- A good all-round understanding of M&E systems, including mechanical and plumbing maintenance.
- Experience of PPM schedules, reactive maintenance and compliance checks.
- Ability to work independently, organise workloads and maintain high standards of service.
- Salary of £45,000+ per annum.
- Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, with one hour for lunch.
- Occasional overtime available.
- 25 days annual holiday plus 8 bank holidays.
