Associate Director, Strategic Advisor in Life Sciences (Lexica. Member of WSP)

Lexica is a leading specialist consultancy transforming environments for clients in health and life sciences. From June 2025 Lexica is a member of WSP (UK) Ltd and will be fully integrated into the organisation by Jan 2026. A key priority is to develop a strategic advisory capability by growing and developing our offering to new and existing clients in the life science sector, across public and private sectors, in the UK and overseas.

• Delivery: provide professional, strategic planning and consultancy services to clients; design individual solutions and secure client mandates; support operational leadership to meet client expectations including service excellence, quality of processes and performance standards.
• Business development: grow the business to meet strategic objectives and targets.
• Resource development: grow the team supporting recruitment and line management; develop the professional capabilities of a growing team; build and maintain relationships with clients as a key account holder.
• Client management and engagement: understand client needs, provide tailored strategic advice, lead stakeholder engagement and integrate into client teams.
• Estate strategic planning: lead the delivery of estate strategies, refine plans aligned with business objectives and optimise the estate portfolio.
• Support the Life Sciences Senior Leadership Team: accountability for service line performance and client satisfaction; manage profitability and pipeline; develop proposals and respond to tenders; mentor junior staff.
• Excellent delivery and continuous improvement: apply best practices and robust methodology to strategic planning, data collection, governance, and reporting.
• Business development: demonstrate experience in delivering consultancy in life sciences estates; lead teams to targets; bid management; financial acumen.
• Delivery: strong stakeholder engagement, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to present to executive level; produce high quality presentations and papers; risk and change management experience in estates environments.

• Chartered level qualification in the built environment (architecture, engineering, facilities management, or property).
• Qualifications in project management related to strategic planning in the Life Science sector.
• Skills in visual aids and graphic tools such as PowerPoint, InDesign, Illustrator; proficient in Microsoft Office.
