Are you an experienced careers professional with a passion for guiding learners and driving employability programmes? We are recruiting a Careers & World of Work Manager to join a dynamic Student Services team in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the college’s careers provision, support learners and apprentices, and make a tangible impact on their futures.

What you’ll do:

Manage and coordinate the Careers and World of Work provision for students and apprentices
Lead and support a team to deliver high-quality impartial careers advice and guidance
Manage work experience, placement activities, and employability initiatives
Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the CRC Careers Programme
Engage with employers, external agencies, and stakeholders to support learners’ career pathways
Ensure achievement of the Gatsby Benchmarks and other quality standards

What we’re looking for:

Proven experience managing careers and work experience provision within an FE setting
Level 6 Diploma in Careers Guidance and Development
Minimum of GCSEs in English & Maths (Grade A-C or equivalent)
Strong understanding of employability frameworks, including Gatsby Benchmarks
Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
High level of professionalism, integrity, and proactive approach
Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances
Ability to remain calm under pressure

Working pattern:

Full-time, 37 hours per week, full year
Agile working: one day per week from home, except during peak periods
