We are currently recruiting for a Junior Welder to join a highly reputable and technically advanced manufacturing business based in Wellingborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious welder at the beginning of their career to join an experienced, skilled team and develop into a specialist within a high-specification production environment.

Salary: £35,769.65 per annum
Hours:
40 hours per week
Monday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:15 // Friday: 07:00 - 12:00
Contract:

The Opportunity:
You will join a structured production welding team manufacturing precision instrumentation products to exacting standards. You will gain hands-on experience across both manual and robotic welding processes, with full training provided - including specialist operator training.
This role offers genuine progression for someone who wants to develop into a highly skilled production welder within a clean, modern, and technically advanced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out TIG and MIG welding under the guidance of experienced team leaders
Learn to set and operate robotic welding cells (full training provided)
Work with jigs, fixtures, and manipulators within a structured production line
Support tacking, welding, and finishing activities to required quality standards
Assist with pressure testing and leak testing processes
Read and follow technical drawings and work instructions
Maintain welding bays and equipment to high housekeeping standards
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production team
The Ideal Candidate :
Has recently completed a recognised welding or engineering qualification (C&G, BTEC, HNC or similar)
Demonstrates strong practical TIG and MIG welding ability
Shows enthusiasm to learn and develop within a manufacturing environment
Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in producing quality work
Is motivated, reliable, and eager to build a long-term career
Works well within a team and communicates effectively
Desirable:
Experience welding stainless steel
Previous workshop or placement experience
Exposure to production or manufacturing environments
