Our client, a highly respected engineering and manufacturing business based in Swavesey, is currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join their Coatings Department on a temp-to-perm basis.

Working within a fast-paced production environment, you will be responsible for carrying out a variety of coatings production activities while ensuring strict quality and safety standards are maintained.

Duties will include:

• Surface preparation including cleaning, blasting and masking/stopping off
• Loading production work using jigs and fixtures
• Preparing coating chambers and testing production loads
• Packing and dispatching finished products
• Carrying out equipment checks and basic maintenance
• Following all company operating procedures and health & safety guidelines

This role involves handling precision-engineered and safety-critical components, so attention to detail is essential.

• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment
• Physically capable of manual handling duties
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience with in coatings or engineering production
• Basic IT skills

This is a hands-on production role involving industrial equipment, lifting equipment and process chemicals, with some exposure to external conditions.

• £12.71 per hour
• Additional £14 premium paid for night shifts
