Job Title:
Mechanical Fitter
Location: Bassingbourn
Pay Rate: £16.25 £ 17.33 per hour (DOE)
Contract Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a busy and growing team based in Bassingbourn on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities- Mechanical assembly and build of products and systems
- Working from engineering drawings and technical instructions
- Fitting components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies
- Supporting basic electrical wiring tasks where needed
- Conducting build checks to ensure quality and accuracy
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter or Assembly Technician
- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience in mechanical build/assembly
- Ideally some basic wiring knowledge (desirable but not essential)
- Good attention to detail and quality
