Cleanroom Technician

We are looking for Cleanroom Technicians to work in the exciting area of cell and gene therapies supporting our production scientists. This is an entry level position and training will be provided.

Advent Bioservices is a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organisation (CDMO) providing GMP manufacturing of ATMPs and related products, process development and ancillary services. We support the development of complex, breakthrough therapies for a globally diverse market. We are at the forefront of revolutionary medicine in which life‑threatening diseases are treated using advanced therapy medicinal products.

As part of the cleanroom team, reporting to the Cleanroom Operations Supervisor, the Cleanroom Technician will work within the GMP Production team, cleaning, restocking, and supporting the production of cellular therapy products for clinical use.

• Cleaning of clean rooms and equipment.
• Disinfection of items going into the clean rooms.
• Undertaking daily GMP production housekeeping activities including, but not limited to; management of cleanroom garments, use of KANBAN system, restocking, and use of logbooks.
• Environmental monitoring of the clean rooms using agar plates, swabs, particle counters and active air samplers.
• To be fully trained in the fundamentals of GMP production within a sterile environment, including aseptic technique, cleanroom gowning and transfer of items. Applicants must be comfortable with wearing full gowns, goggles, gloves and boots to clean clean rooms.
• Working within the framework of Advent Bioservices regulatory licensing bodies and Advents’ Quality Management System, including writing non‑conformances, risk assessments, and any other quality documents as required.

• Minimum of a GCSE in Science, Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (Essential). A-level in Biology or equivalent experience (preferred).
• Ability to prioritise workload.
• Good time management skills.
• Excellent oral communication skills, and excellent written skills. Competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Proactive, flexible, and meticulous approach to work. Must have a get‑up‑and‑go attitude.
• An understanding of the cell and gene therapy industry (preferred).
