Hourly rate: £12.71 per hour (potential increase after successful probation)
Our rapidly-growing client based in Cambridgeshire are currently looking for an Ink Technician to join their team on a Temp to Perm basis, with a view of an immediate start (after a successful interview process). The successful candidate would be responsible for accurate preparation, management, and supply of inks required for production across all Print machines.
Main duties as an Ink Technician:
- Accurately mix, prepare and supply inks for production machines, ensuring correct colours and quantities are available to meet production schedules.
- Coordinate with Production and Planning teams to forecast ink requirements and prepare materials in advance of upcoming jobs.
- Manage returned inks, conducting quality assessments and drawdowns to determine suitability for reuse and recycling.
- Maintain accurate records of ink inventory, usage, returns, recycling activities and stock levels through internal systems.
- Stock control and purchasing activities by identifying material requirements, monitoring inventory and highlighting potential shortages.
- Drive waste reduction initiatives by maximising ink recycling and reuse opportunities while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure the ink department remains clean, organised and fully compliant with company procedures, health and safety regulations.
What's needed as an Ink Technician:
- Previous background, experience, and knowledge within the Print industry (desirable)
- Previous experience & understanding of Ink preparation & it's processes (desirable)
- Previous experience working within a Factory/Production environment
- Good attitude and willingness to learn
- Physically fit and able to work on your feet for long hours daily/weekly
- MUST be able to drive or live extremely local due to local
