Welder / Fabricator
Location:
Cambridgeshire
Hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
The Opportunity
Working within a skilled fabrication and manufacturing team, you'll be responsible for producing high-quality components and assemblies from engineering drawings, ensuring all work meets the required standards of quality, safety and workmanship.
This role would suit an experienced Welder/Fabricator who enjoys varied work, takes pride in producing high-quality fabrications and can work confidently from technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
* MIG/MAG welding of fabricated components and assemblies.
* Fabrication and fitting of components from engineering drawings.
* Preparing, fitting, tack welding and final welding of assemblies.
* Grinding, finishing and inspection of completed work.
* Ensuring work is completed to required quality and safety standards.
* Collaborating with engineering, assembly and production teams.
* Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high workshop standards.
About You
We're keen to speak with candidates who have:
* Previous experience as a Welder, Fabricator, Welder/Fabricator or Fabrication Fitter.
* MIG/MAG welding experience.
* The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and weld symbols.
* Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel or structural fabrications.
* Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
* A recognised welding qualification such as NVQ, City & Guilds, ISO certification or equivalent. Current coding would be advantageous but is not essential.
