Contract:
Permanent. Shift: 40 hours, weekly rotations (6am – 2pm, 2pm – 10pm, 10pm-6am Monday to Friday). Huntsman is looking for a Process Support Operator to join our chemical manufacturing site in Duxford, Cambridge.
This hands‑on role supports the production team with stock control, housekeeping, waste handling, labelling and other practical production tasks. It is a good opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, works safely, maintains high standards and wants to build experience in manufacturing.
Role Responsibilities- Replenish consumable stock and help keep production areas organised
- Support material preparation, labelling, run-outs and other production tasks
- Support practical production activities such as waste handling, pallet management, packing/filling support and general housekeeping
- Use forklift trucks to move materials, waste and pallets safely
- Follow site safety procedures and report hazards, incidents or near misses
- Work with Production, Procurement and Warehouse colleagues to support daily operations
- A safe, reliable and practical approach to work
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Basic numeracy, literacy and computer skills
- Willingness to work shifts and carry out hands‑on, physically demanding tasks
- Previous manufacturing, warehouse or forklift experience would be helpful, but is not essential
Monday to Friday, rotating weekly shifts: 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm and 10pm–6am, with shift premium.
Hands‑on manufacturing environment involving manual handling and practical tasks.
